People are an important factor in reducing plastic waste

 

 

Human participation as a catalyst in reducing the amount of plastic waste in Cambodia and is having an impact 
on the earth and the environment, as Cambodia is currently experiencing a dramatic increase in these wastes.

 

 

 

At the National Forum on Plastic Waste Prevention, it was stated that in Cambodia, about 4 million tons of waste is generated, up from 10 percent annually, 20 percent of which is plastic waste.

 

 

 

The three largest provinces of Cambodia that produce the most waste, Phnom Penh generates 3,000 tons of 
waste a day, of which 20 percent is plastic, Sihanoukville is about 700 tons, plastic 34 percent and Siem Reap 
38 tons, 20.7 percent of which is plastic.
