Mini boat race in the western baray organized by Wat Svay Romeat.Wat Mohan Ti Ratanaream, also known as
Wat Svay Romeat, Sangkat Teuk Vil, Siem Reap City, has organized a small water race as part of preserving
traditional culture and attracting tourists.
The Chief Inspector of Wat Svay Romeat Pagoda said that this traditional boat race will be held for two days from November 11 and 12, 2023, with a total of 17 pairs of boats, including 3 women's boats.Each boat has a capacity of 6 players. In addition, there are 10 pairs of 20 plate bowls.
According to the priest, this is the sixth year that the pagoda committee has cooperated with the authorities to
organize this ceremony in order to preserve the tradition of the Royal Water Festival, floating lanterns, worshiping the moon and dancing. Participate in preserving the traditions of the community pagoda that have not been
lost, celebrate the Kathina Festival, solidarity and bring happiness to the Buddhist people and to commemorate
the sacred objects that govern every Cambodian citizen.
