The meaning of the word "dragon" here does not refer to the dragon, but means "excellent, high, sublime." Therefore, "Dragon Baptism" focuses on those who have a higher status, a better person who has given up all sins.
The Buddha gave this name to anyone who is willing to give up evil deeds and return to building dharma.
There are two types of dragon baptism: monk baptism and samner baptism (also known as "nen").
Monks are for men over 20 years old, and Nen monks are 7 years old and above.
In the early days of Cambodia, we also had young women who volunteered to become nuns like men, but later
society banned it because it was perceived that women wanted to be richer. Men who are upset. On the other
hand, women can have consequences if they encounter any obstacles, such as having to face wild animals while walking in the forest alone, so society is changing the education of women by
the ceremony to go into the shade.
Day 1: Parents, including the person who volunteered to be vegan, must travel to Wat Ream. At noon, at 1 pm,
the ceremony of shaving his hair began, and then he took a bath, washed his body, and dressed the man in
white, often called a "dragon or baby dragon." At 6 pm, they have a blessing ceremony.
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast, relatives, neighbors and relatives living near the pagoda parade three dragon
children around the temple, which is a proof of the Buddha, Dharma, monks. The chaplain must then begin to
learn the dharma of calming the senses in order to wash away the sins committed in the past. In ancient times,
those who went to study in the pagoda had to spend at least one year (one year) to be able to rebuild their lives
as ordinary people.
