[October 5] Successful completion of flight demonstration at Siem Reap New International Airport in Cambodia.

Siem Reap Angkor International Airport has successfully completed an airport operation demonstration and is 
scheduled to officially launch in mid-October.

The last airport flight demonstration was held on October 5th by the Director of the National Civil Aviation 
Authority, H.E., in the presence of relevant officials and representatives of airports and airlines. It was held 
under the inspection of Minister Mao Havanal.

According to a press release issued this afternoon, three airlines participated in the test: Sky Angkor Airlines 
departing from Phnom Penh International Airport, Cambodia Airlines departing from Sihanoukville 
International Airport, and China Eastern Airlines departing from Kunming International Airport in China.

“The flight demonstration at Siem Reap’s Angkor International Airport was smooth and successful,” the press 
release said.

The demonstration is intended to ensure that Siem Reap - Angkor International Airport is technically qualified |and capable of providing ground services in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and National Civil Aviation Administration regulations to handle a large number of domestic and international flights.October 2023 National commercial flights after March 16th.
“This Siem Reap Angkor International Airport is a new infrastructure achievement that will contribute to 
strengthening and expanding air and passenger services from Cambodia to remote and regional areas with 
medium and large aircraft such as the Airbus 350, Airbus 330 or Boeing 787-900,” said H.E. Mao Habannal said:

Siem Reap - Angkor International Airport is located in Tayek commune, Sotrnikum district,
approximately 51 km |from the provincial city of Siem Reap and approximately 40 km from the temples
of Angkor Wat.
The new Siem Reap Angkor International Airport will have 38 seats and will be able to handle
7 million air passengers per year in the first phase, and with full infrastructure will be able to accommodate
20 million passengers per year from 2040.

Additionally, the airport will be able to handle 10,000 tons of air cargo per year from 2023 and 26,000 tons
of air cargo from 2040, 65,800 flights per year from 2023, and 112,700 flights per year from 2040.
